The legendary Larry Crane of Jackpot! Recording Studio and his studio manager Gus Berry, invited members of The Portland Art & Learning Studios to track an original song on July 24th, 2018.
Since 1997, Larry has owned and run Jackpot! Recording Studio, where he’s worked with artists like Sleater-Kinney, Jenny Lewis, M. Ward, Go-Betweens, Jason Lytle, She & Him, Elliott Smith, Stephen Malkmus, Quasi, Richmond Fontaine and more. He’s spoken on and moderated panels about recording for TapeOpCon, SXSW, NXNW, NARAS and CMJ.
Gus Berry joined Jackpot! Recording Studio in 2017. His production and engineering credits include Phillip Phillips, Keb Mo, Rodney Crowell, Liz Longley, Charlie Worsham, ABC, CBS, BBC, Universal Music Group, Sugar Hill Records and many more.
The members of The Portland Art & Learning Studios recorded a two hour sound-scape, which will be released later this year.
